CGC Cards Hot List – September 2025

For this month's Hot List, we're featuring some of CGC’s most-submitted athletes in recent weeks, including a trio of young NFL stars, last year's AL MVP and the GOAT himself: Michael Jordan.

It’s the CGC Hot List, and we’re sharing some of the most submitted cards in recent weeks, including players from the past and present who are driving the current market. Utilizing comprehensive insights from CGC submission data, here are five cards to watch.

1) Jayden Daniels

Selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, Jayden Daniels had a debut pro season that most rookies would envy. Coming off a stellar collegiate career at LSU and a 2023 Heisman Trophy win, the dual-threat QB looked calm in the pocket all year long, as he helped Washington reach their first NFC Championship Game since 1991. For his efforts, Daniels received the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, solidifying one of the greatest rookie seasons in the league's history.

As Daniels' elite performances continued throughout last season, fans and collectors took notice, flocking to his collectibles. It seemed like every football card collector was chasing Daniels' rookie cards, hoping to find every rare hit possible featuring the new Commanders star. As the 2025 NFL season returns, collectors are still submitting Daniels' cards in droves.

2) Michael Jordan

A staple of almost any sports card list, Michael Jordan is always a prominent figure when it comes to sports collectibles. As one of, if not the most, submitted athletes of all time, Air Jordan is a constant in the grading room. His legendary basketball career also gave birth to numerous iconic cards that are still popular and sought after today. Although many of his cards from the late 1980s and 1990s were produced in vast quantities, they still hold value and are still submitted regularly.

3) Ashton Jeanty

As the 2024 Heisman Trophy runner-up and the undisputed best running back in college football last year, Ashton Jeanty is hoping to bring his same ferocious brand of running to the pros. Selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 6 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, the former Boise State Bronco is hoping to be a key piece of the franchise's resurgence to relevance. The Raiders haven't won their division since 2002 and Jeanty and his teammates will have an uphill battle ahead of them to return to annual playoff contenders. However, collectors are already all-in on Jeanty, as proven by the numerous card submissions of some of the running back's earliest NFL collectibles.

4) Malik Nabers

Our list now takes us from the 2025 No. 6 overall pick to the previous season's No. 6 overall pick. Malik Nabers was arguably one of the only bright spots for the New York Giants in 2024 during a season that saw the team earn only three wins. Inconsistent quarterback play somehow didn't seem to matter, with Nabers breaking multiple NFL records during his debut pro season, including the records for most receptions by a rookie (109), most targets by a rookie (170) and more. Considering Nabers earned these records, along with 1,204 receiving yards and seven TDs (while playing in only 15 games), it's not shocking that collectors are chasing his cards and submitting them in large numbers.

5) Aaron Judge

Another mainstay of modern sports collectibles, Aaron Judge rounds out the September Hot List. Once again, Judge is included in almost every major category when it comes to the 2025 MLB Hitting Leaders. As of September 8, 2025, he places in the Top 10 of the leaders lists, including home runs (5th), hits (9th), runs (2nd) and RBIs (9th). Although the seven-time All-Star and two-time AL MVP is still looking for his first World Series trophy, Judge's cards are as popular as ever with submitters.
