CGC is thrilled to announce that the company certified a record-breaking 341,000 cards in April 2025! This comes soon after another record-breaking month in January, when CGC graded more than 300,000 TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards right after the new year. With these two milestones, CGC can confidently assert that it is the fastest-growing card grading company, with more than double the growth rate of the next competitor.

Don’t just take our word for it; here, we highlight recent prices realized for CGC-graded cards and numbers from GemRate — the internet’s most accurate pop report tool for all grading companies. Since the introduction of the luxe black-and-gold CGC Pristine 10 label in 2023, collectors have been chasing cards graded CGC Pristine 10, leading to their appreciation in value on the secondary market. For example, an Alpha Black Lotus graded CGC Pristine 10 sold for a record $3 million in a private sale in April 2024.
Meanwhile, CGC-certified sports cards continue to impress in auctions. A Victor Wembanyama rookie card graded CGC 9.5 realized more than $100,000 in a recent Goldin Auction, which you can read about here.

CGC has experienced record growth in card grading since last year, with sports cards up 63% and TCGs and non-sports cards up a whopping 92% from April 2024 to 2025! Additionally, CGC continues to experience growth from month to month, with sports card grading up 43% and TCG and non-sports cards up by 37% in April 2025 over the previous month.
CGC has graded over 300,000 cards more than once this year! In January 2025, we graded 306,000 TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards, setting a record month for the company… but that was completely shattered just three months later, when CGC certified a massive 341,000 cards in April!

CGC has certified more than 2 million sports cards, and CGC is very close to having graded 10 million cards overall — wow! We’ll certainly be celebrating when we hit this massive milestone, so keep an eye out for more announcements and promotions in the future.
